BMW sold about 100,000 fewer cars in 2022, but more than doubled the proportion of registered electric cars to nearly 10% of the total, the German automaker said on Wednesday.
The company sold 2.4 million vehicles last year and expects the share of the brand’s electric models to rise to 15% this year.
Despite the decline in sales, BMW compensated for the effect with price increases. The automaker releases its full report on last year’s sales on Jan. 10.
