Both changes are available through your PayPal account settings. Next, learn how to change your digital wallet password using the platform’s website.

How to change PayPal password

For now PayPal allows you to change your login password only in the web version of the service. There is no such option yet in the Android and iPhone (iOS) apps.

If you remember the password

1. Access the PayPal site (paypal.com) and click on “Login” to log in;
2. Click “Settings” (gear icon) in the upper right corner;
3. Go to the “Security” tab;
4. Under “Password”, click “Update”;
5. Enter your current password;
6. Create a new password and enter it again;
7. Click “Change Password” to finish.

If you have forgotten your password

1. Access the PayPal site (paypal.com) and click on “Login” to log in;
2. On the next screen, click on “Forgot your password?”;
3. Enter your PayPal account email address or username. Click “Next”;
4. Select an option to complete the security check;
5. Click “Next” and enter the code on the next screen;
6. Create a new password and enter the pattern twice;
7. Click “Change Password” to finish.

If you still can’t change your PayPal password, you’ll need to do so create a new account in the digital wallet.
