Best Picture Oscar winner swaps Prime Video for HBO Max

the feature At the rhythm of the heart (TAIL, in the original title), winner of the Best Film category at the 2022 Oscars, is definitely moving house to Brazil. Earlier last year, the film premiered nationwide on Amazon Prime Video and will now be exclusively on HBO Max.

Curiously, TAIL – At the rhythm of the heart is an Apple TV+ production, but in Brazil the film was made available first on Amazon’s streaming service. However, the feature also arrived on HBO Max in late December and from this Friday (6), on the Warner Bros platform. The discovery will be the only possible way to get a glimpse of the 2022 Oscar winner.

In Latin America, the film is not in the Apple TV+ catalog due to rights issues: Diamond Films owns these rights in the region. In this way, the company could only have At the rhythm of the heart in its platform’s catalog if it bought the rights to the feature after the theatrical window, which other services have done before.

TAIL is a remake of the French film The Bélier Family. In the plot, the story follows in the footsteps of Ruby, a teenage girl who is the only hearing person in a deaf family. While the family business does not go well, the young woman faces the dilemma of whether to help her parents or follow her dream of studying something unusual due to her daily life: her musical talent.

In addition to the Best Film category, TAIL he also won two other awards statuettes: Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor, with Troy Kotsur. With this feat, Kotsur became the first deaf person to compete and win a statuette at the event.
