First details of ‘Amsterdam’. The best cast of recent times?

David O. Russell’s next film brings together an endless and overwhelming list of acting talent

The next project of David O Russell has finally revealed its title and release date. ‘Amsterdam’ will be released on November 4in time for the prize race, and will feature the most spectacular cast of recent times. You laugh at the casts of Wes Anderson.

Starring John David Washington, Margot Robbie and Christian Balethe casting is completed with names like Taylor Swift, Chris Rock, Zoe Saldana, Rami Malek, Michael Shannon, Timothy Olyphant, Alessandro Nivola, Matthias Schoenaerts, Leland Orser Andrea Riseborough, Mike Myers, Anya Taylor-Joy and Robert De Niro.

Presented at CinemaCon this Wednesday, the film has been described as “an original criminal and romantic epic“. ‘Amsterdam’ will be set in a “mysterious and quirky” world in the 1930s, where the main trio “finds himself at the center of one of the most secretive plots in American history“.

Little else is known about the project, but a first advance could be seen that has transcended its description.

Bale’s character, who wears facial scars and messy hair, he looks noticeably softer than the gritty figures Russell loves him to play. A Brunette Margot Robbie and a John David Washington in a suit They round out the trio nicely, as they face ever-increasing danger (and plenty of drinking and dancing).

Taylor Swift emerges as a daughter in mourning, bursting into tears at her father’s body as Chris Rock looks on.”You have a dead white man in a box. It’s not even a coffin, it doesn’t have a lid”, says Rock while Swift cries. “You know who’s going to get in trouble? The black men.
