The journalist Marta Armengou presents Viatge a Júpiter, the podcast of the Filmoteca, a space to discover the highlights of its programming every month.
The Film Library of Catalonia launches its own podcastan opportunity to discover the best of its monthly programming presented by the journalist Marta Armengou.
‘Viatge a Júpiter, the podcast of the Filmoteca’, premieres this January with a special chapter dedicated to its 2023 programming with an interview with Esteve Riambau, director of the Filmoteca, which will also discuss the exhibition ‘Manoel de Oliveira, fotògraf’ (which can be seen at the Filmoteca until March 19) and the restoration carried out by the Center for Conservation and Restoration of the Filmoteca de Catalunya of the film ‘Once upon a time…’, a Catalan animated production directed by Josep Escobar, with artistic direction by Alexandre Cirici Pellicer, premiered at the last San Sebastian Festival.
Starting the following month, ‘Journey to Jupiter’ (available at Spotify and ivoox) will offer a selection of the highlights of everything that has happened and that will go to the Filmoteca de Catalunya, including different sections with in-depth and/or direct interviews, as well as reports on specific topics. The objective is not only to review what will be seen, but also what is not projected on the screens but which is also part of the universe of the Filmoteca, such as the various trades and the many activities it carries out.
Marta Armengou, host of the program, has a degree in Audiovisual Communication and has more than twenty years of experience working in the field of culture in general and cinema in particular.. For thirteen years he directed the film program ‘La Cartellera’ on Betevé and currently collaborates for different media, such as ‘La Finestra Indiscreta’, the LGTBIQ+ themed podcast on Catalunya Ràdio and the digital publication ‘Cultura Revista Sgae’, combined with participation as a festival programmer, speaker, presenter and moderator in film events.
With this initiative, the Filmoteca joins the network of cultural podcasts promoted by the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya (@cultura-cat).
