Graffiti on the walls of Palmeiras after the draw at Choque-Rei: “We want players”

In front of over 40,000 fans, Palmeiras drew goalless against São Paulo this Sunday afternoon, at the Alliaz Parque. On the same day as the Campeonato Paulista match, the walls of the club’s headquarters were scratched in protest.

Photos of the graffiti painted on Rua Palestra Itália show the words “we want players” and “Leila keeps her promises”. In recent days, fans unhappy with the fact that Palmeiras have not yet strengthened their squad have raised the tone of their criticisms of the president.

During the past week, Mancha Verde, main organizer of Palmeiras, complained through a note posted on his Instagram profile. This Sunday, just after the match against San Paolo, the group criticized the president in the stands of the Allianz Parque.

Without reinforcements, Palmeiras continues to look for home alternatives to recover the high level. Current third place in Paulista’s Group D with five points, the alviverde team returns to the field to face Ituano at 19:30 (Brasilia time) this Wednesday, at the Estádio Novelli Junior.
