The arrival of Osimhen in the blue club is decided by the Napoli deputy
The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Naples has asked to extend the investigations into the purchase of striker Victor Osimhen from Naples by six months.
The prosecutors are investigating whether the blue team has changed the values of the Nigerian player’s transfer in the balance sheet which covered the months from July 2020 to June 2021.
According to the newspaper La Repubblica, the investigators want another six months to evaluate the purchase of Osimhen, who left Lille for almost 72 million euros, as well as another 10 million in bonuses.
The African centre-forward’s operation involved four other Napoli players transferred to Lille: Orestis Karnezis, Claudio Manzi, Luigi Liguori and Ciro Palmieri.
Fabio Fulgeri, Aurelio De Laurentiis’ criminal lawyer, declared in an interview with Radio CRC that the investigation against Napoli “must not overlap with that of Juventus”.
“An extension has been requested to study the acquired material. The investigations are secret, but the prospects are that the operation took place correctly without mystifying the budgets”, declared the representative of the Neapolitan president.
At 24, Osimhen is one of the spearheads of Naples leaders. In just his third season with the Azzurri, the Nigerian has already scored 42 goals in 81 games. .
