The second part of 365 days ends, like the first film, On the Rock, which requires a third part. The latter, already filmed, should soon be released on Netflix and look more violent.
After the troubled first part that sparked controversy when it hit the internet on Netflix, the 365-day trilogy continues with the second opus, 365 days later the next day, slightly softer, but still just as funny. Like the first film, its sequel, again shot by Barbara Bialov and Tomasz Mandes, ends on a cliff and leaves the fate of Laura (Anna-Maria Siekluka).
A young woman who befriends Massimo (Michele Morone) rival Nacho (Simone Susina) is between life and death after being shot by Massimo’s twin brother, Adriano. But, as mentioned above, 365 Days is an adaptation of a trilogy from Blanca Lipinska’s novels, and Laura is alive and well in the third part, entitled Another 365 Days, which began filming simultaneously with the second.
What should we expect next?
Massimo and Laura’s “love affair” has already been strained due to Massimo’s family and mafia problems, and in the third film it will not improve. In the book, after all, a big wedding day is held and Massimo and Laura, pregnant, can finally celebrate their love before the birth of a child.
Only, a few days after the wedding, Laura was shot. Massimo has to make a difficult decision: save Laura’s life or the life of a child. He chooses Laura, desperate. A young woman mourns the death of her child and drowns in alcoholism, which hinders her professional development. To fill an emotional void, he adopts a dog.
For his part, Massimo becomes an addict and can’t stand Laura getting closer to Nacho again. In a fit of rage, he kills the dog and becomes jealous of Laura, appearing on his arm with another woman at Olga and Domenico’s wedding.
He manages to get Laura back and arrests his prisoner again, but he eventually escapes to find Nacho, whom he marries and has a child. And the 365-day trilogy ends with this happy ending.
The adaptation of the 365 Days trilogy has gone through different paths and you should feel it in the story of the third and final part. Indeed, Laura lost a child at the end of the first film, so Massimo will have no choice between her and her future child.
But this does not mean that the couple will end up together and there will be no other obstacles, especially since their romance in the second part has already experienced frustration and Laura is very close to Nacho. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
We will have to wait for the first pictures to learn more about the third part, which has already been shot and possibly in post-production. Which means another 365 days could hit Netflix later this year or at the latest next year.
