The health of the former German pilot remains reserved for family and friends

The state of health of Michael Schumacher remains unknown after the German’s skiing accident in 2013. However, according to the ‘Express’ newspaper, a man allegedly took pictures of the ex-racer in his bed and tried to sell the pictures for 1 million euros (about 6 million reais at the current exchange rate).

The British vehicle claimed that the man, treated by the family as a friend, had betrayed the trust of Schumacher’s relatives. The case, however, would have occurred in 2016, and only revealed this Monday. The man tried to sell the images to news organizations in Europe.

Schumacher had an accident while skiing in the French Alps on 29 December 2013. Despite wearing a helmet, the German suffered a serious blow to the head, fell into a coma and was hospitalized for nine months, until he was taken home to Switzerland. The former athlete’s current state of health remains confidential for friends and family.

The former German driver is one of the greatest in the history of Formula 1, together with Lewis Hamilton, with seven titles each. The first two trophies won by the German were with the extinct Italian car manufacturer Benetton, in 1994 and 1995. The five won from 2000 to 2004 were from the Ferrari team.
