Jennifer Lopez does not stop: after succeeding with her Netflix documentary ‘Halftime’, she launches ‘An Explosive Wedding’ on Amazon, the new romantic comedy in which the singer shares the bill with Josh Duhamel and Jennifer Coolidge.

Actress, producer, composer… Jennifer Lopez’s relationship with the cinema has been around for a long time, with dozens of films behind him since ‘My Little Girl’, his first job at the age of 17 with a small piece of paper until he achieved two Emmy nominations (for the Super Bowl intermission show that he shared with Shakira in 2020) and the Golden Globe for Secondary Actress (for ‘Scammers on Wall Street’, 2019).
A year ago he premiered the romantic comedy ‘Marry me’, in which he shared the bill with Owen Wilson (another classic of the genre) and with Maluma. Shortly after, this June, she also successfully launched the halftime documentary about his life and professional career.
But Jennifer Lopez does not give us truce, and after the Netflix documentary, she enrolled in the filming of a new romantic movie, which we can see from today on Prime Video. Is about ‘An explosive wedding’, in which the singer stars with Josh Duhamel (‘What happens with Pam’, saga ‘Transformers’). It is already available in 86 countries around the world.
Amazon Prime Video shared this first official synopsis of the film: “In ‘An Explosive Wedding’, Darcy (Lopez) and Tom (Duhamel) they reunite their families for what will be the wedding of the century just when the couple begins to fear commitment. And to make matters worse, the lives of all the attendees will be in danger when in the middle of the celebration they are taken hostage. “Till Death Do Us Part” takes on new meaning in this hilarious, adrenaline-pumping adventure where Darcy and Tom must save the lives of those they love, if they don’t kill each other first.”
The cast is completed by Jennifer Coolidge (the actress from ‘The White Lotus’, who opened TikTok precisely with a video with Jennifer Lopez), Sônia Braga, Cheech Marin, Selena Tan, D’Arcy Carden, Callie Hernandez, Desmin Borges, Steve Coultery and Lenny Kravitz. The film is directed by Jason Moore (‘HermanÃsimas’, ‘Giving the note’).
