Nicole Kidman peed on Zac Efron’s bare torso: that was the moment

Many actors are known to dare to do their own danger scenes. However, it is less common to omit stunts or special effects in uncomfortable scenes involving bodily fluids such as vomit or urine.

However, Nicole Kidman did not hesitate to dare to spray Zac Efron’s naked torso with her urine in the movie “Dangerous Love”.

Nicole Kidman peed on Zac Efron in ‘The Paperboy’

In 2012, the actress from ‘The Skin of Desire’ (which you can watch for free on ViX) brought the wicked Charlotte to life in this film directed by Lee Daniels and co-starring Matthew McConaughey, Zac Efron and John Cusack .

Her participation in this film plunged her into a series of powerful moments: from some sexual scenes with Josh Cusack, who played the food Hilary Van Vetter, to the moment when she had to urinate on Zac Efron, who gave life to Jack. Jansen.

In this scene, the “High School Musical” actor suffers a series of jellyfish burns on his chest and face while swimming in the sea.

The venom of these animals leaves him unconscious in the middle of the beach, where a group of girls offer to urinate on one of them to help him.

Charlotte runs into this group of youths and warns them that if anyone is going to pee on them it will be her. He then sprays it with pee.

Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron were uncomfortable with the urine scene

When the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, this scene was one of the most commented on on social networks, who wondered if the actress had actually urinated on Efron.

The furor caused by the question of whether or not it was really urine led Nicole Kidman to talk about this scene in several interviews, including the one she gave to Deadline on May 27, 2012.

“Yes, I did the scene. That’s what Lee wanted. It was in the script… I mean, I love Zac. He’s a great guy and let me tell you, I’m glad it was him. I feel safe with Zac and I hope he feels safe with me.”

Three months later, in a conversation with V Magazine (published August 17, 2012), Kidman explained why she was uncomfortable doing this scene.

“The pee thing, I didn’t think it was that weird, because I was in character. That was because of the jellyfish. And to me, it said a lot about Charlotte. One, she’s protecting him. Two, she’s tough as nails and no one else is. he’s going to pee on this guy. That made a lot of sense to me. I just did it and didn’t think too much of it.”

Regarding Zac Efron’s reaction to this scene, director Lee Daniels explained in a 2012 GQ interview that he even smiled at the moment.

“I wish they could have seen Zac’s face. He’s supposed to be passed out and he just has a smile on his face. I told him, ‘Zac, pretend you’re dead!’ And he just has this crazy smile on his face. The whole thing is crazy”.

The scene of Nicole Kidman urinating on Zac Efron has almost been deleted

Interestingly, for a moment, director Lee Daniels considered cutting this moment from his film, as revealed in his interview with GQ.

“Just before the mission [la película] in Cannes, I called Nicole at three in the morning and said, “Nicole, I can’t do it, I’ve done it. I can’t put that scene in the movie.”

However, it was the Australian who convinced him not to remove her from the film.

“He said, ‘Lee, you made me pee on Zac Efron, if you don’t put that in the movie, you’re crazy,'” he recalled.

Ten years after working together on this film, on June 14, 2022, Netflix confirmed that Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron will once again co-star in an as-yet-untitled romantic comedy.
