“Doctor Strange 2” director Sam Reim talks about the early genius of Kevin Fage’s “Spider-Man” and how Zoom became one of his best films.

Well, the technology was a lot easier. It really wasn’t an adjustment I had to make. We just didn’t have to turn off the camera often or scan every kit anymore. There are now channels for creating CGI characters. There are now great programs to help with coloring and shading. It was much more primitive 15 years ago and therefore much more complex. I think the biggest change for me 15 years ago is the big telecom tool. Zoom really allowed me to communicate with large teams at the same time. I was able to reach all my department heads with a single telecom call. I might ask my copywriter to take down the board we were working on to show the team what I meant. Then my designer could bring in an illustrative shot of the filming area to show us exactly how many rooms we had to shoot this footage.
