Michael Jackson will be played by Jafaar Jackson, his nephew, in biopic

Jafaar Jackson is 26 years old and is the son of Jermaine Jackson, Michael’s third oldest brother.

Michael Jackson will be played by his nephew Jaafar Jackson, in a biopic of the artist. The information was revealed by Antoine Fuquadirector of Michael, last Monday, the 30th (via Variety). The film does not yet have a release date.

The actor is 26 years old and is the son of Jermaine JacksonMichael’s third oldest brother, who was a member of the Jacksons 5. He has also been a singer since he was 12 years old.

Michael: the biopic

the production of Michael should start at the end of this year and will be led by Antoine Fuqua(Training day – 2001 and The Protector – 2014), made by graham kingin Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) and scripted by John Logannominated for an Oscar three times, for Hugo (2011), The Aviator (2004) and Gladiator (2000).The production is authorized by the estate of the Pop king.

“The first projects of my career were music videos. I still feel that combining filmmaking and music is a deep part of who I am. For me, there is no other artist with the power, charisma and genius of Michael Jackson,” stated fuqua in note.

“I was influenced to make music videos by watching his work – the first black artist to be one of the most played in the MTV. His music and image are part of my worldview, and the chance to tell that story on screen alongside these songs was irresistible.”

According to website reports The Hollywood Reporter and the Varietythe feature film must cover most aspects of the life of Michael – including more sensitive subjects – in a “direct way.” There is no scheduled date for the premiere.
