Targeted by hate messages written by “fans” that put him in charge of the situation, Norman Reedus thus justified the decision to take a break from the American actor for twelve years after the role was played (Daryl and Carroll are the only ones. The Walking Dead characters appear in the show).
Turning over those twelve years required a lot of hard work and he wanted to devote time to himself, so he’s going to do it. I imagine these characters will unite at some point and maybe this reunion will include other characters as well. But before he took this break, I was asked, “Hey, do you want to go on a mission?” And I was for it.
Still untitled, the Daryl Spin-Off will air in 2023. Next year will see the light of day with two more Walking Dead series: Isle of the Dead, with Maggie and Negan, as well as Tales of the Walking Dead, an anthology. Characters from the past, but also newcomers to the franchise.
