The Spitz are back.
‘Criminals in sight’ has already shared its first official trailer. The sequel to the hit movie from Netflix (‘Criminals at Sea’), starring Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler, is closer than ever.
The story will bring back Nick (Sandler) and Audrey Spitz (Aniston), who are dedicated to being detectives full-time after what happened in the first tape. Despite their previous success, they still have to fight to get their agency going.
When they are invited to the Maharaja’s (Adele Akhtar) wedding on a private island, they find themselves on their next big case. The boyfriend is suddenly kidnapped and everyone in attendance, including his own wife, will be suspected.
Will Nick and Audrey be able to crack the case and save the day? We’ll find out soon enough, but until then let’s review what else we know about the upcoming Netflix release:
‘Criminals at Sea 2’: Release date
Earlier this month, Netflix confirmed that the sequel would be released on March 31 and it showed some first images of the film as part of the platform’s plan for 2023. (Don’t be in a hurry, you can see them in one of the sections below)

Besides the trailer, Netflix released a teaser for the comedy on January 29, which allowed us to meet a mysterious new character, played by Mark Strong.
Strong is not the only addition to ‘Criminals at Sea 2’, we will also be able to see Mélanie Laurent, Jodie Turner-Smith and Kuhoo Verma, joining the adventure. In addition to the return of Akhtar (in the shoes of the Maharajah), the sequel will also return Colonel Ulenga (John Kani).

Leading the new Spitz movie is Jeremy Garelick. The filmmaker has directed other fiction projects such as ‘The Binge’, ‘The last weekend in history’ (miniseries) or ‘The wedding guru’. He is also the creator of the pilot episode of the 2014 series, ‘The Rebels’.
