Six months after getting married, journalists Mari Palma AND Philip Sianifrom the CNN Brazil, announced this Friday the 3rd that they are separating.

“It’s been 6 years together as a couple. During that time, we grew up a lot and experienced the happiest day of our lives: our wedding. That’s when we made a commitment to always do good for each other and that’s what we’re looking for now more than ever. Our beautiful story continues, but in a different way,” announced Mari, in a post shared with Phelipe, on her Instagram.

The journalist used a photo of the dog Chica, which she believes represents her romance with Phelipe, to make the announcement.

“Yes, it has been a while since we decided to end our romantic relationship and our agreement was to experience this very intimate moment offline. But we have been receiving a lot of invasive, offensive and sexist messages for a while now, so we have decided to make this announcement now, even though we are not emotionally prepared,” he stressed.

Mari took advantage of the space to ask for privacy as the two go through this moment.
