Time invited transgender people to watch the football match against Ferroviário with the new official shirt

Last Saturday night (04), in a match against Ferroviário, Bahia Esporte Clube and its organized supporters, LGBTricolor, brought for the first time a group of transgender people to watch the club match at the stadium. The action also included the launch of a special edition LGBTricolor jersey featuring the colors of the trans flag. The team of Casa NINJA Bahia, Planeta Foda and NINJA Esporte Clube accompanied a special mission to the Copa do Nordeste match, in Salvador.

It was an unprecedented action for trans visibility day which seeks to further strengthen the LGBTQIAP+ presence in stadiums, spaces that are still very hostile and marked by LGBTphobia, according to the organizers.

“A historic action, one of the most beautiful I’ve seen in Brazilian football. I have heard several times, especially from trans women, who had never been to the stadium out of fear and we wanted to show that trans people are also welcome in the arena, as well as LGBTQ people who constantly attend the tricolor cauldron and it was a day beautiful and memorable, with an incredible receptivity from the crowd,” said Onã Rudá, founder of the LGBTQIAPN+ crowd.

Among the people who attended were Leo Kret, dancer, singer, ombudsman of Semur and former councilor of Salvador, Millena Passos, activist who gives his name to the Law that fights LGBTphobia in Bahia and Yuri Carvalho Mister Trans Salvador.

“I am so happy. For a long time I thought football was not for me. A Sport Club like this, by making the invitation, by making a difference, brings us much closer to something that is for everyone,” said Kin Bissents .

Kin took the opportunity to draw attention to the behavior of football clubs that don’t include different people among their fans. “It’s up to you on other teams to think about welcoming different people, not just me, as a Black trans woman, but also people with PCD and other crossbreeds,” she concluded.
