Playboi Carti was arrested on charges of assaulting his girlfriend
Playboi Carti was arrested in Georgia, United States, after being accused of assaulting his girlfriend. The musician would have suffocated his wife for discussing a paternity test on December 20 last year, as reported by the TMZ.
the girlfriend of Carti was not identified and reported to the police that, after holding her by the neck, the rapper almost made it impossible for her to continue breathing. She came to think that she would not survive the assault.
According to the victim, the relationship lasts two years and they have been living together since July 2022. She would be 14 weeks pregnant on the date of the alleged attack. A witness would have tried to break up the fight, but, according to the report, Carti it was insistent.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the woman with visible injuries to her neck, chest and back.
In a note to TMZthe rapper’s lawyer denied the accusations: “Mr. Carter was falsely accused. According to my communications with the Fulton County Prosecutor, this case will be dismissed without further prosecution or litigation.”
