Rob Grant’s Debut Album Features Lana Del Rey On Two Tracks: Here Are The Details!

Make the talent Wool Del Rey do you come from the family? Last Thursday (22) the father of the artist, Rob Grantannounced the launch of lost at sea, his debut album. With a date set for June 9, the album will feature Lana on two songs, the title track and a song called Hollywood bowl.

“Rob Grant here! And the rumors are true! My new album ‘Lost At Sea’ will be released on June 9th…and my first single will be available from midnight tonight!

The first single from the album, ‘Set sail on a distant horizon’, was released yesterday, along with the announcement. About the song. grant says: “It’s a piano piece I wrote about the happiness and freedom I felt as I sailed from Newport, RI on my 25-foot sloop ‘Erewhon’, bound for the islands of Nantucket and Marthas Vineyard.”

“The piano starts slowly and then builds as the sails fill with wind, and the boat begins to pick up, listing towards the rough Atlantic waves. The piano carries you along as the sloop picks up speed, picking up wind, towards the distant horizon.”

According to NME, a synopsis deleted by the label on the album reads: “Rob Grant releases his debut album, Lost At Sea via Decca Records. An accidental recording artist, Grant has never taken lessons on any instrument in his life. No formal musical training of any kind. He can’t read sheet music. But when he sits down at the piano, something magical happens. The notes pour out of him and pour into composition after composition.”

Guest appearances and songwriting include his daughter Lana Del Rey, while producing credits include Jack Antonoff, Luke Howard, Laura Sisk and Zach Dawes.”
