Castilho child died at the age of 83 last Friday, 10. The death was confirmed by Luiz Bakker, son of the musician, on Facebook. The vigil will take place from 1pm this Saturday, in chapel K of the São Francisco Xavier cemetery, in Rio de Janeiro. Burial is scheduled for 4pm.
Bassist and flautist, he was part of the legend tamba trio alongside Hélcio Milito (drums) and Luiz Eça (piano) in the 60s. “It was an important moment because it brought together three people from different backgrounds into a fourth thing, without anyone giving up their influences.
