Not satisfied with the caption of her photo which bears the name of one of the songs of the new work by Miley Cyrus, released last 10, Gomez has nevertheless tagged the singer in the publication. The post was enough to drive fans crazy and soon give birth to new possibilities for a possible collaboration.

It’s worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time Selena has appeared publicly endorsing her former Disney Channel colleague’s music, in a video posted in March of this year, the singer appears relaxed as she dubs the hit “Flowers” on her TikTok I count.

Despite the clearly friendly atmosphere between the artists, which has resulted in several comments exchanged on the net, affectionate mentions in interviews and an entertaining live during the pandemic, this has not always been the case. The duo is known for starring in one of Disney Channel’s biggest scandals, involving a mutual ex-boyfriend: Nick Jonas.
It all starts in 2006, with the beginning of Miley Cyrus’ relationship with band member Jonas Brothers. Everything seemed to be going well until the couple split in 2008, resulting in one of the biggest hits of Miley’s career, ‘7 Things’.
A few months after the end, Nick Jonas begins to be seen with Selena Gomez and suspicions of betrayal have conquered the main covers of magazines around the world. The Disney stars have been seen as frenemy — or anime —, delivering iconic moments in pop culture over the years when the two, already single, sang “7 Things” together during the 2008 Teen Choice Awards.
Amidst the comings and goings, banter exchanged during this period, Miley and Nick briefly resumed dating in 2012. Sources confirm that such an act left Selena very upset at the time. The love triangle finally ends after #Niley’s official demise, but the relationship between the stars remained strained through much of the 2010s.
