“These bracelets have changed our lives because they allow us to connect with the audience so everyone is a part of the show. The original bracelets were designed 13 years ago by a man who made batteries for sex toys. He was very good with little drums , and did such things that he somehow became a fifth member of Coldplay”, said the artist.
According to the singer, the band invested a large amount of money so that the bracelets would be part of their shows.
This is where we spent most of our money. [arrecadados nos shows], but it was worth it because with them the concert is something different: you’re not watching the band, you’re watching the crowd. And people should return them because they’re too expensive.”
As revealed by Coldplay, São Paulo was the city in South America that returned the fewest bracelets after presentations. The band’s trademark, accessory that changes color in sync with songs played on stage is reusable, but doesn’t work outside of the show. This is because the bracelets are controlled by the group’s production.
