Counting on the presence of celebrities such as Emily Ratajkowski AND Kendall Jennerthe event promised a luxurious experience, however, those who purchased tickets – which totaled $100,000 – ended up receiving FEMA tents, cheese sandwiches, lack of medical and security assistance, lost luggage, and still remained for a while “stuck” on the island due to the blockage of flights.

Fyre Festival: the paradise festival that ended up becoming a real failure

Imagine a music, art and culture event held on an island paradise in the Bahamas. The programming features incredible bands and artists, such as Blink-182 and Major Lazer. And all this promoted by great celebrities on the Internet, such as models Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin, Bella Hadid and Alessandra Ambrósio. This was the concept of the Fyre Festival, which promised to be an unforgettable experience. And this really happened, however, not in a good way. What was supposed to be a top-notch festival turned out to be a huge failure!

Organized by American entrepreneur Billy McFarland – and initially in collaboration with rapper Ja Rule – the event, which was to take place on the weekends of April 28-30 and May 5-7, 2017, featured packages of up to $100,000. They have also secured luxury accommodations on the island of Great Exuma in the Bahamas. Its publicity was carried out by celebrities on social networks and the videos promoting what would have been “the best in food, art, music and adventures” quickly captured the attention of the public.
