Performances of the “Peace Out” tour, until early 2024, have been announced by the band
O aerosmith is retiring from the stage, or at least from major touring. with the tour Peace Out(slang in English that works as a kind of farewell), the legendary hard rock group will tour several cities in the United States until 2024, with rumors of expansion to South America.
Ticket sales started last Friday (5). However, right away, the initiative generated controversy. Not because of Aerosmith’s intention to leave the scene, but because of the prices charged for tickets.
As reported by Alternative Nation (via Igor Miranda website), tickets cost between US$600 (approximately R$2,970 at current exchange rates and direct transactions) and US$1,500 (approximately R$7,425), depending on the sector chosen. This has motivated complaints on social media, given that even with a stronger economy in their country, the American public in general would not be able to pay such amounts.

The situation is further complicated by the dynamic pricing policy for ticket sales in the United States. It works in the same way as airline tickets in Brazil: the values are not fixed, they vary according to demand – generally increasing, since the public’s interest in shows in the post-pandemic period has been increasing.
Aerosmith’s Farewell Tour
The first show of the tour Peace Out takes place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, United States, on September 2. The last appointment scheduled so far will be at the Bell Center in Montreal, Canada, on January 26 of next year.
In the first engagements, the drummer Joey Kramer will be replaced by John Douglas, who had already been occupying the veteran’s spot in recent shows. Original member Kramer has been struggling with health issues, according to guitarist Joe Perry.
The shows were announced while the vocalist steven tyler deals with a situation in court. Shortly after being released from rehab for prescription drug addiction, the singer was accused of sexually abusing and intentionally inflicting suffering on a woman named Julia Misley (at the time, still under the Holcomb surname) in the 1970s, when she was still a minor.
Tyler denied the allegations and said the relationship was consensual. Her lawyers seek to make the American Justice disregard the arguments based on her autobiography, Does the noise in my head bother you?where he allegedly confessed to the crimes, even without mentioning Julia’s name.
