In 2017, Noel Gallager and Damon Albarn collaborated on ‘We Got The Power,’ a Gorillaz song featured on the Humanz album (2017)
Former member of Oasis, Noel Gallager collaborated with Damon Albarn while doing backing vocals on “We Got The Power,” music from gorillaz present in the album humanz (2017). Now, Gallager reflected on the partnership and was controversial: he said how his younger self would have “stabbed him in the balls” for it.
During an interview with The Big Issue (via Music-News.COM), the artist reflected on his career and what would happen if he interacted with another version of himself. “What would my younger self think of me working with Damon Albarn?”, He asked.
“It entirely depended on which side of the bed I got out of that day,” continued Noel Gallager. “If you caught me on a good day, I’d be like, yeah, I could see that happening… on a bad day, I’d stab myself in the balls.”

Noel Gallagher has problems with an Oasis record; know what it is
Noel Gallagher not the biggest fan of the “comeback” album Oasis. Standing on the Shoulder of Giants marked the end of the band’s hiatus, however, there was not the warm reception that the members expected from critics and the public.
The guitarist actually expressed concerns during the project’s production, which didn’t happen the way he preferred. As pointed out by Far Out Magazine, Santa believed it would be better to work with Mark ‘Spike’ Stent in place of the band’s longtime producer, Owen Morris.
The absence of musicians bonehead It is Guigsy was also felt by the brothers. They abandoned the album halfway through because they did not agree with the “no alcohol and drugs” policy in the studio imposed by Santa.
“The sounds on that album, like in ‘Do Let It Out‘ It is ‘Who Feels Love‘ are brilliant, but the songs aren’t there. This is a symptom of the album. The sounds are great, all very well performed, but the songs are not there. It doesn’t have killer singles,” he said. The record even has “sunday morning call,” one of the worst songs on Oasis in the opinion of Santa.
