The new project is the first to be released by Republic Record, his new label.
Upon release, the artist said the song will focus more on the carioca funk, which he had as a musical hallmark at the beginning of his career. The British singer and songwriter also spoke to the magazine about the artist. “Anitta’s energy is amazing. We connected immediately and that made the collaboration so special that there was a genuine friendship,” he said.
The speculation started after the singer’s fans found the record of the song on the ISWC (International Standard Musical Work Code) website, an exclusive platform for musical works. In addition to Smith, the site also showed a possible collaboration with DJ Gabriel do Borel.
