No Tempo da Intolerância, posthumous album by Elza Soares, will be released on June 23
Rita Lee wrote unreleased music sung by Elza Soares. The existence of the track, composed in partnership with Roberto de Carvalhowas revealed by the Queen of Rock herself in an excerpt from her autobiography, as reported by Folha de S.Paulo.
“Shortly before I was diagnosed with cancer, she asked me for a song to record. The lyrics downloaded in ten minutes. I thought of her majestic figure and it was born’African Queen‘”, Rita described about the request for elza.
The artists even exchanged messages and Rita revealed solidarity of elza after cancer diagnosis. “Oh, Rita, what a great pleasure to hear you singing this song to me. Thank you so much! I adore you, creature,” Elza Soares would have stated.
