The choice of Vale do Anhangabaú for the São Paulo edition of the festival has also been questioned due to the lack of greenery
The beginning of the 2023 edition of the MITA Festival, which began this Saturday 3 in São Paulo, was marked by the distrust of the public towards the place chosen by the organization: Vale do Anhangabaú.
Traffic analyst Taiane Oliveira, who is from São Paulo, opted to watch the shows in Rio de Janeiro, which took place last week, before purchasing a ticket in the city.
“I chose Rio precisely because of what is happening in the center of São Paulo,” explains Taiane, who is such a fan of Lana Dele Rey, the most awaited attraction of the day, that she decided to face her fear and come to San Paul as WELL.
Nurse Fernanda Felipe was also anxious before arriving at the festival, due to the fear of the region. She, who has brought her friend Priscila Melo from Brasilia, fears going home at the end of the party. “I’m scared, but I think he’ll be so busy there won’t be any problems,” she muses.
Both friends and Taiane also criticized the size of the space. “I think there are better places, with more greenery, when you think of a festival, think of that,” says Priscila.
Teacher Liliane Ferrari accompanied her 17-year-old daughter and, despite her insecurities, thinks the place is suitable for events of this type. “It’s an easily accessible place, it’s not at one end of the city, so it’s very easy,” she says. She also criticized the lack of grassy spaces in the Valley, but had a more positive assessment.
The MITA Festival in São Paulo takes place on Saturday 3 and 4 and Sunday and features national attractions such as Duda Beat, Djonga and NX Zero and international attractions such as Sabrina Carpenter, Lana Del Rey and Florence + The Machine.
