The Weeknd’s next album should form a trilogy with After Hours and Dawn FM
The Weekndartistic name of Abel Tesfaye, updated the public about the process of his next studio album. In an interview with Varietythe musician stated that he is “finishing” the album.
tesfaye – who has been busy with the production, filming and promotion of The Idolcontroversial series HBO– again mentioned that his new project ends a musical trilogy started with after hours (2020) and Dawn FM (2022).
“I’m finishing the third part of this saga, this trilogy. The name will be revealed soon, but it’s not what some fans think it is…”, he said about some theories created on social networks. “What they think is the name of the album is actually the name of a song. That’s all I can say.”
The next disc could also mark the last one under the moniker The Weeknd. “I’m going down a cathartic path now… I’m getting to a place where I feel ready to close The Weeknd’s chapter,” he said in an interview with W Magazine. “The record I’m working on right now is probably my last ‘hurray!’ as The Weeknd. It’s something I have to do. I’ve said all I could say as The Weeknd.”
