‘SOUR’ follow-up album ‘GUTS’ will address the pains of growing up and figuring out who you are
Olivia Rodrigo announced this Monday, the 2nd, the launch of Gutstheir second album, set to be released on September 8 via Geffen Records. The news follows the release of the first single, “Vampire”which will be available on all digital platforms this Thursday, June 30th.
“For me, this album is about growing pains and trying to figure out who I am at this point in my life,” Rodrigo said in a press release. “I feel like I grew up 10 years between the ages of 18 and 20 – it was such an intense period of strangeness and change. I think this is all just a natural part of growing up, and I hope the album reflects that.”

Speculations about the second disc of Olivia Rodrigo started last year, when the singer thanked the great success of sour (2021) no Spotify Wrapped in December last year.

Furthermore, in celebration of two years since the launch of sour, Olivia teased fans for his long-awaited second album in a newsletter after highlighting the terms OR 2, which are the acronym for “Olivia Rodrigo 2”, used to refer to her second album. The new hit shirts “Drivers License”released in celebration of the anniversary of “SOUR”, are dated June 30, 2023.
