In 2023, AFROPUNK Bahia takes place on November 18th and 19th, at Parque das Exposições, Bahia
In addition to Djonga, Tasha & Tracie inviting Tati Quebra Barraco, Alcione inviting Mangueira, VANDAL It is Karen Francis, AFROPUNK Bahia 2023 confirmed yet another strong attraction for this year’s edition: Bahia System.
It is worth highlighting how the band’s presentation will feature something special: the participation of the Guinean singer rhyme patch and the Angolan artist Night and day. The festival takes place on the 18th and 19th of November at Exhibition ParkBahia. AJULIACOSTA was also confirmed in lineup from 2023.
“The desire to bring baiana for the festival since last year and, in this edition, we follow the line of shows that the group has been developing with numbers like GilBaiana and the OlodumBaiana. O Portuguese follows this line of musical articulations provoked by the band, bringing the two African artists to Brazil for the first time,” stated Ismael Fagundesone of the members of the curatorial team.
