Bryan Adams found inspiration in Taylor Swift to cover ‘Summer of 69′”

Legendary Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams has revealed he found inspiration in pop star Taylor Swift to re-record his classic The Summer of ’69’. The single is part of the musician’s work to release new versions of the biggest hits of his career.

“I loved what she (Taylor) did (regarding reissue albums as part of ‘Taylor’s Version’ project) and I think many artists should do the same. I will be forever grateful to Taylor for creating this momentum and made that happen, because I thought, ‘Well, if she can do it, so can I.’ So I started producing some tracks and they’ve developed really well. Now I just want to keep going.”explained the artist of 63 years old.

For what, Adams he said there was no deal with his former label, Universal Music, for which he recorded his albums A&M Records and his only option was to revisit all his classic material in new forms: “I was in the process of negotiating with Universal Music Group and they didn’t want to give me back my rights. So I said, ‘Okay, I’m going to record new songs. And it’s been incredibly fun.’
