Singer Joss Stone has been chosen as Liam Payne’s understudy at The Town festival on 7 September. The official profile of the festival on Instagram announced the change this Monday evening (28/8).
Last week, the former One Direction singer announced the cancellation of his South American tour on his social networks, revealing that he was hospitalized for a kidney infection and was on a medical prescription for rest.
With the substitute, it will be the sixth time that Joss Stone will come to Brazil.
Schedule changes
The singer, known for his hit song ‘Fell in Love with a Boy’, will be one of the attractions on the festival’s main stage, Skyline, on September 7th. He will perform after Ludmilla and before The Chainsmokers and Maroon 5.
In addition to the change on the 7th, there was also an early change on September 9th. Queens of the Stone Age also canceled their appearance at the festival, citing medical advice, and were quickly replaced by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
