Demi Lovato is now a rocker. She the artist has released the video for “Skin of My Teeth”, in which she appears even while she plays an incendiary guitar, that is, with a small fire coming out of the tip of the instrument.
The clip directed by Nick Harwood (Charlie XCX, Sophie, King Princess, Porches) is split into two intertwined sequences. The white background shows Demi wearing emo makeup and diving into a bathtub, where she gets up to face a horror movie stalker. Against the black background, she looks like makeup and glam skin, brandishing a circus-or 80s farofa rock guitar.
Music is presumably influenced by grunge. But Olivia Rodrigo is the prime suspect in the pop star’s transformation into a fuzzy rocker.
“Skin of My Teeth” is the first preview of the album “Holy Fvck”, which is already the eighth of Demi’s career. The album is scheduled for release on August 19th.
