The Brazilian singer thanked her fans and herself for a lot of work: “You are listening to Brazilian funk and you will listen to much more, this is just the beginning!”
Singer Anita won the best Latin music video category at the MTV Awards Video music awardswhich takes place in New Jersey, United States, on the night of this Tuesday the 12th.
“I can’t believe it. Brazil, we are here again. For the second time. Thanks to my fans, I would be nothing without them, I owe them everything I have. I really appreciate it!”, said Anitta in her speech, in to which she also thanked her record label, her team, her brother Renan and herself.
Competing with productions from great artists like Shakira, Rosalie, Karol G AND Bad bunnythe Brazilian received the statuette for her The success of the Funk Rave launched in June this year. The work, creatively directed by the singer herself, has reached more than 16 million views on the YouTube platform.
“I want to thank myself, because I’ve worked a lot! You’re listening to Brazilian funk and you’ll hear a lot more, this is just the beginning!”, she concluded in a speech at the event in the United States.
This is the second time that the artist has won the award, in the last edition Anitta became the first Brazilian to sing on the VMA stage, and to also win for best Latin song with Involve.

During the event, Anitta performed alongside K-pop group TXT, or Tomorrow X Together, to sing the launch of Come back to find out more and also performed a solo performance: a mixture of The Favela Love Story (see what it was like).
