Days before leaving for the United States, the Estadao He spoke to the musician about how he was preparing for the competition and also about his expectations for the semi-final.

“We are in a hurry, studying and learning the song for the semi-final. There is a lot of anxiety! But God is in control and, for sure, he will bless me just like he honored me at the auditions,” she said.

For the tests, Gabriel he says he focused more on improving the pronunciation of words.

The musician, who has a “tenor voice” and a “more than rare vocal flexibility”, as an expert told Fantástico, had already admitted in some interviews that the language had even been one of the obstacles for not participating in previous editions Of reality.

As for the music he will feature, Gabriel, of course, kept it under wraps. But he assured that it is a new song and that the choice was made by the program’s production team. “I can’t reveal the name of the song, I can only add that it was a choice made by the AGT production team,” he said.

From the beginning of your journey, Gabriel he says he maintains unshakable faith and, therefore, chooses not to bet on a specific outcome for the future.

“Regardless of the result, without demagoguery, I am already a winner. Winning at golden buzzer It’s something surreal. I have my merits, but without God this would not be possible. I was in a foreign land, in a strange language and singing for the natives. An angle in which they have a lot of experience. I was out of my bubble,” he says.

Despite this, he does not hide his desire to pursue a career as a musician. “I want to continue singing and hope to follow my dream, which is to ‘make a living’ through music. This program has opened up opportunities that would have taken me years to realize. I want to bring God through music, through my singing I was born for this and, today, God has transformed that dream into reality”, he says.
