Blink-182 lost Tom DeLonge in 2015, but the musician returned to the group in 2022

During an interview with Zane Lowe (via People), the members of the iconic rock band commented on the departure of Tom DeLonge in 2015, when several people stated how the musician left the group with the intention of “becoming professionally crazy.”
“I found myself in these strange oceans that I definitely didn’t know how to navigate. I definitely didn’t want to hold these guys back in any way,” the singer and guitarist responded in conversation with Lowe.
“We thought, ‘F*** it. Tom DeLonge. If he doesn’t like the Blinkthen f*** it,'” he recalled Mark Hoppus. Right away, By far added, “I remember telling my wife now, like, well, I don’t think I’ll ever play music again.”
I thought I would never tour again until Mark told me he was sick, and so that was the only thing I wanted to do.
Right away, Hoppus explained how he felt like “an empty shell” when he was diagnosed with cancer in April 2021. Chemotherapy damaged his vocal cords: “I had to work with a vocal coach to get to the point where we could go on stage at the Coachella [em abril de 2023].”
