The two artists will perform this Saturday, at Allianz Parque, in Sao Paulo
Singer Ivete Sangalo published a video on her Instagram account showing her meeting with the English singer-songwriter Rod Stewart this Saturday 30. The two rehearsed for the show they will perform this evening at Allianz Parque, in Sao Paulo.
In the video you can see Ivete enter the stage where Stewart and his band are rehearsing. The two walk arm in arm towards the front of the stage. Ivete greets the musicians and says that the violinist is the daughter of a Bahian woman who lives in Los Angeles, United States.
“He’s really incredible. Wonderful energy,” Ivete says of the singer.
Ivete will open the show at 7.15pm. Stewart will take the stage next. The presentation is part of the project Legends in concertwhich wants to bring together some of the biggest stars of world music in unprecedented meetings.
Ivete and Stewart have to sing two songs together: the songs chosen for the duet were Navigationfrom the disk Atlantic crossing (1975) e Da Ya, you think I’m sexy, from the album Blondes have more fun (1978).
Alone, Ivete will sing her biggest career hits, such as Dust, Vigil, Rare beauty AND If I didn’t love you so muchin addition to the new Rua da Saudade AND Go out.
