Scientists have discovered a new way to control insulin levels in diabetics with the song “We Will Rock You” by Queen
Brian Mayguitarist of queenlamented the recent scientific associations of insulin and music from queen. In a study published by the magazine Forbesit was discovered, after several tests carried out on rats, that cells release insulin when exposed to the rhythm of the song “We Will Rock You”.
The traditional method of administering insulin is via injections. In the possible solution found by the researchers, a capsule containing engineered cells that produce insulin would be implanted in the body and activated by sound waves – in this case, with the hit record News of the World (1977) from queen.
Through your Instagram, May said he would not celebrate the news, as he does not encourage scientific testing on animals.
“It is already known that many drugs and procedures that work in mice or rats DO NOT work in humans. […] And, ethically, causing pain to one species to cure the ills of another is clearly unjustifiable. Therefore, laws requiring animal testing MUST be changed.”
May added that he was “horrified” by the suffering scientists caused these animals: “It’s so easy to cover up the disgusting way we treat animals. This has to stop. It is high time that scientists become responsible for what they do. It’s time they took responsibility for the way they behave. I will NOT be celebrating this news tonight.”
