Emaza claims he was often invited by the rapper to go out drinking after they began their professional relationship. He refused these invitations to keep the relationship strictly professional. Subsequently, Gibson says Derulo introduced alcohol into the recording sessions. On one occasion, she was allegedly forced to consume a significant amount of alcohol.

The artist also mentions the presence of drugs, such as cocaine, during some sessions. The singer also claims that Derulo made her a proposal linked to a ritual that she interpreted as sexual in nature.

“I have anxiety; I’m traumatized,” Emaza Gibson said. “I’ve faced inhumane work situations. … I’m at this point where I’m back to square one and I have nothing.”

The contract between the rapper and singer expired in September 2022. “I’m just trying to fight for what’s right because what was done to me wasn’t okay,” Emaza said. “They wasted my time. They promised me things… ‘Forget the contract.’ That’s what they told me. But if I didn’t do that, if I didn’t fulfill my end of this contract, I would be in trouble.” Until this article was published, Jason had not commented on the topic.
