The singer, Michael Jackson’s sister, took a photo with Gil and published videos of the performance
The American singer Janet Jackson, one of the sisters of the pop star Michael Jackson, attended the show that the Brazilian singer and songwriter Gilberto Gil held in London this Wednesday 11th. The show took place at the Royal Albert Hall and brought together Gil and part of his family on stage.
Before the show, Janet went to the dressing room to meet Gil and his wife, entrepreneur Flora Gil. They took photos together. Janet also posted videos with excerpts from the singer’s performance. In them you can see and hear Gil singing the songs Every Bahian girl AND gum with banana. Janet also highlighted the presence of Gil’s niece, Flor, who sang the song Ipanema girl in English.
On her Instagram profile, Janet wrote: ‘I had a great time at Gilberto Gil’s show in London. I’m a big fan. His talent and his music have always inspired me.”
In the comments, Gil responded: “Janet, much love.”
