Accused of being “incompetent” for showing up with a gun at a youth event, 16-year-old singer Melody was defended by her father this Wednesday (25/10).
The melody ended up in the most discussed topics
The toy gun was used as an accessory during the performance of the hit “Assalto Perigoso”, sung by Melody for the occasion, but the recent armed attack on a school in the city, the day before the show, meant that the image was heavily criticized.
“It’s revolting, we are experiencing so much violence in our country, dozens of buses set on fire, robberies, kidnappings, murders and many more carried out by young people, a creature like this comes to incite even more violence,” one Internet user commented.
Criticism has also focused on those who manage the singer’s career, like her father, also a businessman.
Father’s statement
Faced with the controversy, Belinho, the father, decided to speak openly. Through a message sent to the “Fofocalizando” program, he denied that his daughter had supported the violence.
“He said that he does not agree with what emerges from the media and that, on the contrary, Melody has not received negative comments about the use of the accessory. He also said that the artist used a toy gun, it was not a gun true,” Gabi Cabrini said.
Furthermore, Belinho would have explained “that the song does not forgive crime and that it is about stealing the heart, and describes that the lyrics are very romantic”, added the presenter.
“He concluded by saying that, as the artist’s father, he always seeks out and considers all opinions they [família] they will think about it and that, for now, they remain firm on the fact that it has everything to do with the choreography and that it is not an apology for the weapon,” he added.
