Rebel Soy Tour | RBD fans suffer a spate of robberies as they leave the show in Rio

RBD fans were outraged in the early hours of this Friday (11/10) due to the lack of police following the debut of the “Soy Rebelde Tour”. Reports indicate that the end of the show was marked by several attempted dragnets and robberies around Engenhão in northern Rio de Janeiro.

“It’s absurd. A show of this size, with such a crowd and they haven’t thought about strengthening the police in the area”, reported Graziella Souza to F5. She and hundreds of other people sought refuge next to a police vehicle. Other fans sought help from local residents and a local hospital to escape the nets. Authorities chased a group of more than 20 men.

On social media, one fan reported being robbed on the walkway to the subway station, while another witnessed a rush to the station and crowded trains. A third again saw men robbing people leaving the stadium and police chasing them.

Another point of complaint was the performance of Engenhão’s security teams: “They didn’t have the sensitivity to open the gates to let us enter the stadium again. We were exposed to bandits and it was desperate,” complained Matheus Matos.
