Vocalist Beth Ditto also shared the new single “Crazy Again,” the band’s first new material in 11 years.
The band Gossip is reuniting for a new album produced by Rick Rubin. Entitled Real Power (2023), the project will be available on all digital platforms on March 22, 2024.
The announcement also came with the release of the first single “Crazy Again”the band’s first new material in 11 years, now available on all digital platforms.

Formed by Beth Ditto (vocal), Brace Paine (guitar) and Hanah Blilie (drums), the band hasn’t released new material since A Joyful Noisefrom 2012. In February 2016, the vocalist announced the end of the trio and launched a solo career, with the debut album Fake Sugar (2017).
It was Rick Rubin who encouraged the band to reunite and start recording again after celebrating the album’s 10th anniversary. Music For Men with a tour in 2019.
“When we started, a lot of the Gossip it was about escaping – that was always in the music. We survive. We came from nowhere and left there. And to be here 20 years later and still making music together is just incredible.” Ditto in a press release. “We survived. We came from nothing and got out of there. And to be here 20 years later and still making music together is just amazing.”
