The drivers of Taylor Swift’s entourage in Rio, who drove with their license plates covered in black plastic, are being investigated by the police. They can be held responsible for the crime of concealing or tampering with vehicle identification signs.
Police officers went to the hotel where the artist is staying to investigate the report of the case, which is being investigated by the 14th police station in Leblon, south of Rio, and asked for the analysis of the security camera images .
According to the Civil Police, motorists said they were forced to cover their vehicle license plates when traveling in reserved lanes.
The vehicles were seized but, as no accident occurred, they were returned.
Taylor Swift will perform again in Rio this Sunday (11/19) and Monday (11/20), after postponing her performance on Saturday (11/18) due to the death of a fan and the capital’s “extreme temperatures” of Rio de Janeiro, where the thermal sensation of the last few days reached almost 60º C. More than a thousand people were treated in Engenhão during the tour’s debut on Friday (17/11) due to the heat.
The singer will also perform in Sao Paulo on November 25 and 26.
The cars used by Taylor Swift’s team were seized because they had covered license plates.
