The family of psychology student Ana Clara Benevides, who died after falling ill during Taylor Swift’s first show in Brazil, was invited to attend the singer’s farewell show in Brazil, which took place this Sunday (11/26) at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo.
The public present registered the presence of the family in a private place, wearing t-shirts with Ana Clara’s photo printed on them.
What happened to Ana Clara?
The 23-year-old was from Mato Grosso do Sul and had traveled to Rio specifically to attend Taylor Swift’s concert at Nilton Santos Stadium, Engenhão. But there he fell victim to the strong heat wave that hit the city during the first national presentation of the show “The Eras Tour”.
Ana Clara had a cardiopulmonary arrest. She was rescued and taken to a hospital in the stadium area, in the north of Rio Janeiro, where she ended up not offering resistance. Complementary tests, which will be ready within 30 days, are expected to reveal more details about the cause of her death.
Fan support and promises from T4F
After her death, the family revealed that they faced difficulties in moving the young woman’s body to her hometown. Without the support of the company Time For Fun (TF4), the family members received the support of the singer’s fans, who came together to do crowdfunding and, in less than 12 hours, raised R$ 30,000 to pay the last Ana’s trip.
Only later, and six days after the young woman’s death, did the CEO of T4F come forward to speak, promising help. “I want to express our most sincere feelings to Ana Clara’s family. I express here, now publicly, our willingness to provide assistance as necessary, as we have already said directly to the family and to the lawyer representing them, over the telephone, in writing , after the accident,” said Serafim Abreu.
T4F’s chief executive will be called to testify in the police investigation investigating the company’s conduct during the production of the singer’s shows in Rio de Janeiro.
