The Rolling Stones released this Wednesday (11/29) the video for the rock song “Bite My Head Off”, recorded with the participation of Paul McCartney. In the video, the former Beatle appears only briefly, behind the scenes of the recording, playing his instrument. The images are invoked by Mick Jagger halfway through the song, when the singer shouts into the microphone for Paul to play something, at which point the distorted bass is heard in the foreground.
On social media, the band highlighted a McCartney quote about the recording. “I had a lot of fun playing with the Stones on this session. Rockin!”, commented the former Beatle.
The meeting was facilitated by producer Andrew Watt, who was simultaneously working with McCartney on his new album and producing the Rolling Stones’ new recordings. It was McCartney who recommended Watt to the Stones and it was Watt who, in return, suggested the band invite the former Beatle to play on a track.
“Bite My Head Off” is part of the album “Hackney Diamonds”, released on October 20, which marks the return to action of one of the most influential bands in rock history – who hadn’t recorded new songs since “A Bigger “. Bang”, 2005.
