Isabella Aglio, Mingau’s daughter, shared this Thursday morning (30/11) an emotional moment during the Ultraje bassist’s recovery in Rigor after being hit in the head. The musician began to move one of his fingers slightly.
In a video, Isabella showed the scene in which her father, still very weak due to the severity of his brain injury, tries to take his thumb. She can be heard talking to another family member, who also encourages Mingau to continue moving her finger.
“Every victory is celebrated here,” the young woman wrote on Instagram Stories. “Get up, come on, come on, come on! Don’t fall, no! Enough, go! Hold on to that finger,” her family said as Isabella recorded her father’s progress.
The young woman also said Mingau is still “in intensive care fighting a lung infection” and shared the link to an online fundraiser that will help with hospital bills. “The anxiety gets to me, but I know the road is long and it takes patience. And I wanted to remind everyone that we still need help,” she said.
Finally, Isabella Aglio showed Porridge’s face for the first time in the hospital after being shot in the head. “We laugh, there is joy, but we also cry a lot. I’m doing everything I can, dad. Everything will be fine, I promise you”, added the young woman.
