Billie Eilish revealed she was surprised by the repercussions of her casual declaration of being LGBTQ+ last November during an interview with Variety. At an event for the same magazine on Saturday (12/2), the singer said she couldn’t imagine people not knowing her sexual definition of herself.
“I thought, ‘Wasn’t that obvious’? I didn’t realize people didn’t know. I just don’t really believe it,” he said. “I just think, ‘Why can’t we just exist’? I’ve been doing this for a long time and I haven’t talked about it,” she explained.
The artist confessed that she was struck by seeing the articles on the subject and the surprised reaction of many people.
“I saw this article and I was like, ‘Uh, I feel like I got out today’. Okay, cool. It’s exciting for me because I don’t think people knew this, but it’s okay that they know,” he explained.
In the November interview, Billie said, “I’ve never felt like I can connect with girls very well. I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m really attracted to them (… ) I feel physically attracted to them, but I’m also very intimidated by them, their beauty and their presence.”
