Ecad surveyed Paul McCartney’s most played and recorded songs in honor of the musician’s 80th birthday
“Day Tripper,” composed in partnership with John Lennonis the most listened to song of Paul McCartney in Brazil. This is one of many tracks from the Beatles signed by the bassist, who turns 80 this Saturday, 18.
Ecad (Central Office for Collection and Distribution), holder of one of the largest databases on music in Latin America, surveyed the number of reproductions on radio, TV and internet of songs composed by Paul in the last five years.
In addition to the 1995 track “Come Together,” “Hey Jude,” “Help” and “Yesterday” – all co-written with Lennon for the Liverpool quartet – complete the ranking of the top five.
For the study, the 1,254 songs and 3,175 recordings of McCartney registered in Ecad were analyzed. The bassist’s most covered track by other artists was “Yesterday,” one of the band’s biggest hits. Fab Four.
